When we established Scout Sports we knew that e-commerce was going to be a big driver for gaining higher profit margins.
It was important to build a seamless customer shopping experience online…and that challenge was assigned to me (someone who had only used WordPress to create simple blog posts).

Thankfully, technology has made it fairly easy for beginners to create beautiful websites, and with some learning curves I built scoutsports.com through a custom Shopify theme.
In the past 4 years the online shop has become 25% of our revenue. Running the site has improved my skills in inventory management, data analytics, graphic design, marketing, copy writing, blogging, and simple coding.
