If Anthropologie were to have a little girls line what would it look like?
That’s the question 3 of my colleagues and I attempted to answer with the following “mini collection” we produced at the end of college…And I must say, I thnk we answered it pretty well…

We called the line “Pedologie” — playing off of the brand name “Anthropologie”.

[Pedology] noun
    1. The scientific study of the nature and development of children

We wanted to create children’s products that parallel the Anthropologie women’s products–through the use of fine, clever details that would give girls the sense of artful individuality.

Our vision began with design illustrations and finalizing fabric options. [sketches & designs by Brigitte LaRue]

After many sleepless nights, our illustrations and design ideas became reality…

Even though we never presented the idea and product line to Anthropologie, the whole inspiration, design, sewing, research, and photography process was so fun and enlightening.
